Essex County Cricket Board held their Asda Kwik Cricket Finals on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th June at Billericay Cricket Club.
The final brings schools from across the whole of Essex and East London where they battled it out to represent Essex at the Regional Finals at Mildenhall Cricket Club in early July.
The girls Kwik Cricket Final on Monday 25th was won by Engayne who beat R A Butler in the final both also go through to the Regional finals.
On Tuesday 26th June there were 6 groups the winners of which were as follows:
Group 1 Elmhurst primar
Group 2 Engayne Primary
Group 3 Churchfields primary
Group 4 R A Butler
Group 5 Lyons Hall Primary
Group 6 Hartley Primary
The winners of groups 6,4,5 & 1 played off to provide 2 schools for semi final 1, and Engayne & Churchfields were semi finals 2. Essex Cricket was asked to send TWO winning schools to the Regional finals, the winners of the 2 semi finals would be the two schools.
Semi Final 1: Engayne 285 for 2 beat Churchfields 208 for 5 by 77 runs
Semi final 2: Hartley 254 for 1 beat Elmhurst 232 for 4 by 22 runs.
Congratulations to Engayne and Hartley, who will both represent Essex at the Regional Finals on Thursday 5th July at Mildenhall Cricket Club.
