A combined team made up of Essex 2nd XI players and Essex Academy players will play against a Shepheard Neame Essex League (SNEL) select XI at The Ford County Ground in Chelmsford on Friday the 27th of July.
It will be played in whites with lunch between innings. Essex will provide the match balls and SNEL will be appointing the umpires. The match will commence at 11.30am.
There are also two further academy matches which will raise funds for the academy.
Essex Academy v Frinton C.C. The academy have been invited to play in the long established Frinton cricket week in a 45 over a side game on Sunday 29th of July starting at 11:30am. The academy side will have a mix of past and present academy players plus Chris Silverwood and Peter Such. This game is to raise funds for both the academy and Frinton C.C.
Essex Academy v Brentwood C.C. is a 20/20 match starting at 5:00pm on Friday 24th of August at Brentwood. We are now in the third year of this fixture which is a fund raiser for both the academy and Brentwood C.C.
