Essex will have Alastair Cook back at the club for selected matches after he returns from England duty in New Zealand. Fellow Essex & England player, Ravi Bopara will also return and is available to play all forms of the game after he arrives back from South Africa, where he is currently playing for the Sunfoil Dolphins.
England management have determined the following availability of centrally and incrementally contracted players contracted players, ahead of the first Investec Test versus New Zealand commencing 16 May.
Ravi Bopara - Available for all cricket.
Alastair Cook – Available for LV=CC games against Hampshire (29 April -2 May) and Lancashire (7-10 May). Unavailable for YB40 fixtures against Hampshire (3 May), Durham (5 May) and Scotland (12 May).
