Welcome to the new look Essex County Cricket Club website for the 2008 season.

The team have got off to a great start with victories in their first two games so we hope this website carries on the trend of successful launches.

We will be aiming to bring you closer to the action than ever before during the 2008 season.

New for this year is the ‘ECCC Blog’, which will chart the progress of the team – and the players within it – throughout the summer. We shall be keeping you in touch with as much connected to Essex CCC on the web as possible, including columns from Captain Mark Pettini, Vice-Captain James Foster and all-rounder Ryan ten Doeschate. There will also be video footage from You Tube and elsewhere.

We are also hoping to bring you an increasing amount of video highlights from our matches during the 2008 season…more on that to be revealed soon.

You, the ECCC website user, can also get more and more involved this season…with polls, competitions and the ever-popular ECCC Forums – which continues to house the liveliest debate anywhere on Essex County Cricket Club.
