| ESSEX COUNTY CRICKET BOARD Requires a Cricket Development Manager Salary £30,000 - £33,000 Car Allowance Non-Contributory Pension Scheme The Essex County Cricket Board, working in close association with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the governing body for the development of cricket in the county. A vacancy has arisen for the important role of Cricket Development Manager. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the production and ongoing review of a single strategic plan for all cricket development across the county and will be required to deliver this against clear targets set by both organisations. You will be managing a team of cricket development professionals who are coaching and supporting schools and clubs in the county. You will work hand in glove with the development department at ECB through its Regional Development Manager and will be required to plan and deliver a programme for the increased participation throughout the county and our five associated East London Boroughs. It is likely that you have experience of cricket at grass roots level as well as having a clear understanding of the game and a disciplined strategic mind. You will be a very competent administrator and not be daunted by the need to compile detailed reports or future funding bids against challenging deadlines. Your skill in communicating at all levels will be crucial as your ability to establish close working relationships with your team and outside agencies will be key to your success. It will be necessary for you to have a flexible approach to your working day as many meetings will be held outside of normal office hours. This is a hugely rewarding role but is not for the faint hearted. If you feel you have what it takes to work with one of the most highly regarded development teams in the country then please send a C.V to Liz Wirth.
