Essex have named a 12-man squad for their LV County Championship match against Derbyshire at The Ford County Ground, starting on Sunday, June 29.

England batsmen Alastair Cook and Ravinder Bopara return to domestic action after being part of the ODI squad for the series with New Zealand.

Fast bowler Maurice Chambers is set for his first Championship appearance of the season in place of David Masters, who is rested.

Neil Dexter, on loan from Kent, is also set for his Championship bow.
