A Level 1A umpires course, for those who have completed a minimum of 10 adult matches of 20 overs or more in this current cricket season, will be held this year each Tuesday evening for approximately 6 weeks commencing Tuesday 25th September 2012 at The St. Christopher School, Mountdale Gardens, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, SS9 4AW. Each evening will begin at 7.30 p.m. and will end at 9.30 p.m.

ECB Association of Cricket Officials (ECBACO)
The ECB has set up the Association of Cricket Officials to support the development and training of umpires and scorers. The Essex County Cricket Board has formed a branch of the ECBACO and a committee had been elected. This will create the pathway for the development of existing umpires and scorers the training of new ones.
