Essex County Cricket Board Coaches Association (ECCBCA)

The Association assists with coach education development of our Members in compliance with the aims of the England and Wales Cricket Board and the Essex County Cricket Board with whom we work closely and enjoy an excellent relationship.

Membership is open to all professional and recreational coaches who hold a recognised ECB coaching qualification and live, or deliver coaching, within Essex. We currently have approximately 1000 members.

All successful candidates from coaching courses are automatically enrolled and added to the membership list so that we can inform you about other opportunities to develop your coaching skills by way of workshops, seminars and other activities.

Membership is entirely free for all of our members.

Keep In Touch

As all of the association's correspondence is forwarded electronically it is very important that we have a correct and current e-mail address for all members. If you are receiving information direct from the ECCB CA secretary then we have your current details.

If you are receiving it through a different channel then we do not. If this is so, then please update your details with the secretary at ECCBCASecretary@rayleighcricketclub.org.uk or by visiting the following link

CRB Renewals

You must have a current CRB clearance. If your clearance has expired you will not be covered under the ECBCA's insurance scheme. If you are having problems with the process of renewal then please contact Michael Humphrey at ECCBCASecretary@rayleighcricketclub.org.uk

Note: The Essex coaches association does not provide any insurance cover for coaching activities.

ECB Coaching Workshops

These are held during the close season. They are designed to enable coaches to increase their coaching knowledge/skills and are interactive so it is difficult to become bored!

Dates For Your Diary

Sunday 23rd October 2011
Sunday 27th November 2011
Sunday 15th Januray 2012
Sunday 12th February 2012
Sunday 11th March 2012

All sessions will take place from 12 noon until 3pm in the Essex Autogroup Graham Gooch Cricket Centre, the Ford County Ground, Chelmsford with the exception of the March seminar which will run for between one and one and a half hours in the Premier Suite. Please direct any questions or requests for further information to Dave Wilson davepwilson1@aol.com or to Michael Humphrey ECCBCASecretary@rayleighcricketclub.org.uk

Please note that to be covered by insurance for coaching activities, qualified coaches must be full members of the ECB Coaches Association.  It is very much your responsibility to ensure that your CRB check is renewed when you are contacted with the necessary renewal form and of course, you should also hold an 'in date' certificate for First Aid and Safeguarding and Protecting Children.  The current rules are that CRB, First Aid and SPC have a shelf life of 3 years from date of certification and as with the CRB check, coaches are responsible for keeping the other two up to date

The ECCB CA does not provide any insurance cover to members and so you should be a paid up member of the England and Wales Cricket Board Coaches Association which provides cover as one of the many excellent membership benefits.  If you allow your CRB check to lapse, your membership of ECBCA will be suspended and you will not be insured.
