The Essex Boundary Club is the official supporters’ organisation of Essex Cricket and was formed in 1995 when the Supporters’ Association and Supporters’ Club amalgamated.
We have two main objectives – a membership base with facilities and social events plus a fundraising arm to provide money for junior cricket in the county of Essex.
In addition we have donated over £325,000 to Essex County Cricket Club for capital projects including permanent floodlights, First Air Centre, Essex Boundary Club Corner/Snack Bar, Pavilion and ground seating refurbishment, Ground Development Fund together with £25,000 to the Library and Museum in memory of the late Peter Edwards.
Membership of The Essex Boundary Club is open to all supporters of the County. There are rates to cover adult, senior, junior and husband and wife categories with discounts to the members of Essex County Cricket Club.
If you have any queries or would like further information in respect of the below events, please contact Chris Lewis on 01245 284929 (direct line) or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Benefits of Membership Include:
Approximately 30 dates are scheduled each season and, in 2016, we had private facilities on every day of the Specsavers County Championship matches at Chelmsford.
Each Member receives a complimentary ticket – for a home Championship match. This will be issued with your membership package so you can choose which match you would like to bring along your guest.
The Essex Boundary Club 2017 Diary (the same content as the Club’s) is available to Members – while stocks last – at the special offer price of £10.00 to include postage and packaging.
This will be arranged in due course and include trips to away Royal London One-Day Cup matches. Please check back in the New Year for details.
During the 2016 season we held an Early Season Dinner at Chelmsford with guests, Chris Silverwood and Anthony McGrath. At the end of the year our Members enjoyed the exclusive use of tickets to the Premier Enclosure at Newmarket Racecourse.
In November 2016, we staged a lunch in the City at The Minster Exchange to celebrate the careers of Graham Napier and David Masters. Special presentations were made to each of the players by the EBC Chairman David Mahoney and President Graham Gooch in appreciation of their magnificent performance for Essex Cricket. A record number of 178 people attended this superb function.
