Essex Cricket are pleased to announce that academy player, Kishen Velani has signed an Academy Bursary Contract with the club, meaning he will be registered for First Class cricket with the county. Kishen will join the squad playing in the number 8 shirt.

Velani has had a promising winter of cricket by joining team mate Ben Foakes in the England Under 19's tour of Bangladesh in January.
