Essex Tigers Visually Impaired Cricket Club
Essex Tigers VICC was set up in early 2009 to try and provide opportunities to play cricket for visually impaired people throughout the county of Essex. The club has a nucleus of players who have been playing blind cricket for several years, but are looking for visually impaired people, of all genders ages, and locations to help the team grow.
The team is taking part in blind cricket national league and cup competitions this year between May and September, with seven league games and a possible 3 cup games, with the final being held at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.
The club will play the majority of their games on the London / Essex border, in places such as Harold Wood and Loughton. They will also play one game at Bocking Cricket Club (near Braintree) on June 20th and give a demonstration during the Southend Cricket Festival on August 9th to try and help people further out into the county to get involved.
