Essex Cricket – let the news come to you!

Mar 02 2010

Essex Cricket on the net

We would like to introduce fans and members of the media the following alternative ways in which you can now keep up with your club on the world wide web. This is obviously in addition to our official website – www.essexcricket.org.uk and our FREE Over & Out e-newsletters.

Facebook

Some fans may have been aware of our previous content on this social networking site.

However, we have made some changes for this season.  Instead of the official Essex Cricket facebook group, the club will now use facebook to communicate through its fan page primarily.  Please follow this link to become a fan if you are a registered member of facebook – http://www.facebook.com/pages/Essex-County-Cricket-Club/93595164049

Benefits include the ability for us to post real-time updates from the club to your home page.  ‘Fans ‘can interact with the page, leaving their comments and contributing to discussions.

The fan page will also be used to invite fans to events such as matches and social events at the Ford County Ground, Chelmsford.

Twitter

Twitter is an alternative social networking site which is particularly popular within media and sports institutions, registered members of twitter can follow Essex Cricket by following this link (http://twitter.com/EssexCricket) in order to receive similar updates with more unique ways to interact with the club.

YouTube

We are excited to have launched our very own YouTube channel.  YouTube is a hugely popular website offering anybody the opportunity to upload their own videos to the web.  Following the launch of EssexTV, we have decided to use YouTube as a way to promote the service by posting the same videos to our YouTube channel: EssexCricketTV.

Much like facebook and twitter, YouTube is an opportunity for users to raise discussion with its thriving community of worldwide members who can subscribe and receive notifications of when the next video is posted by the channel.

Follow the link and subscribe to EssexCricketTV on YouTube today! http://www.youtube.com/user/EssexCricketTV

This year, the Indian Premier League will be broadcasted on YouTube live, click here to subscribe so you can watch Ravi & Graham in India from March 12th - http://www.youtube.com/user/IPL

eBay

The club’s eBay shop is still in operation, follow the link to browse our items for sale and grab a bargain. http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/essexccc__W0QQ_armrsZ1
