In 2012/13 academy year we have 13 scholars in the squad either on a 1 or 2 year contract. Within this group Kishen Velani and Rehan Hassan have been awarded a bursary contract which means they will be registered to play First class cricket for the county in the 2013 season. Kishen has also retained his place on the England Development Programme at U19 level.

We have also brought onto the academy 6 new scholars, 3 coming through our Emerging players programme run by Barry Hyam, 1 from our U17 age group and 1 from Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.

With this group of players assembled it promises to be a very exciting year of development for the academy.
