The Huddersfield-born leg-spinner earned a two-year deal with the County following a successful two-month trial period last summer.  Having played for Leeds/Bradford MCCU, he impressed when playing for Unicorns against Essex in the CB40 competition and made his first-class debut against Sri Lanka in a tourist match at Chelmsford.

By the end of the 2011 campaign, he had made 7 Championship appearances that produced 22 wickets whilst he also figured in a number of one-day matches.
