Essex squad spread festive cheer with Broomfield Hospital visit

Members of the Essex first-team squad visited the Phoenix Ward at Broomfield Hospital on Monday spreading the Christmas spirit.

First-team players in attendance included, Tom Westley, Adam Wheater, Jamie Porter, Matt Quinn and Nick Browne, whilst Eddie the Eagle also made quite the impression with the children.

All children received an Essex Cricket branded toy and had the opportunity to hold the Division Two Champions trophy!

Families also had chance to ask questions and share their experiences of Christmas with members of the first-team squad.

Photo opportunities were available, with the players proving just as popular with the parents as the children.

Everyone at Essex County Cricket Club wishes all our members’ and supporters around the world a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
