The fixtures for this season’s Vitality Blast have been released.
The truncated tournament for 2020, which will see counties split into three groups of six, will begin on Thursday 27 August 2020.
Defending Champions, Essex Eagles, will feature in the South Group along with Hampshire, Kent Spitfires, Middlesex, Surrey and Sussex Sharks, with the top two placed teams from each group guaranteed a place in the quarter-finals. The two best third placed teams will also progress to the knockout stages with Finals Day scheduled to take place on Saturday 03 October.
Essex Eagles’ behind closed doors campaign will feature ten group stage matches in total, with four of them to be played at The Cloudfm County Ground. Our remaining ‘home’ fixture will be played at the Kia Oval against Kent Spitfires on Saturday 05 September and broadcast live on Sky Sports.

The Cloudfm County Ground will also play host to Sunrisers this summer, the regional women’s side who are set to debut in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy later this month.
Three matches will be played at Chelmsford during the round-robin group stage beginning on Saturdy 29 August;
Saturday 29 August – Sunrisers v Southern Vipers
Saturday 05 September – Sunrisers v Western Storm
Sunday 13 September – Sunrisers v South East Stars
