Essex Cricket created a KS1 programme in partnership with School Game Organiser’s to allow infant schools to develop sporting provisions. The activities and games are developed around the national curriculum, allowing teachers to develop cross curriculum messages with specialist coaches (i.e. striking and fielding, chase and retrieve).

Structured curriculum sessions and workshops are offered to the schools, developing and enriching staff knowledge enabling a network of 3 tee’s competition at levels 1, 2 and 3.

2013 saw over 40 Key Stage 1 schools taking part on the scheme, working with local coaches whom have completed additional training above the minimum standards to work with the infant pupils.
