During the festive period and into the New Year we will be finding out who makes it into your Essex Team of the Decade, with voting beginning on Christmas Day.

There will be an opportunity each day to choose one player for each of the 11 positions available, with the final team announced on January 5. You can cast your vote on essexcricket.org.uk with additional statistics and content available via the Club’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram channels to help you with your choices.

The ground rules:

> The voting is to be based on first-class cricket
> Players must have played 10 or more first-class appearances for the Club to be included in the voting
> Overseas players are included
> Position number 7 will be a chance to vote for a wicket-keeper
