Matt Coles joined the Club from Kent in the 2018 close season on a two-year contract.
Coles is a destructive all-rounder with considerable prowess in white-ball cricket, offering a genuine threat with both bat and ball. He made is debut for Essex in the MCC match in Barbados, and will look to make the most of his opportunity with the County Champions and underline his clear promise.
