Born in Leytonstone in February 2002, Robin Das is a British Bangladeshi, who came through the Essex Academy.

His form in the Essex Second XI and Academy was sufficiently impressive to earn him selection for the senior side for the first time in 2020, during the Vitality Blast match with Sussex Sharks.

After playing the One-Day Cup in 2022, it would be a four-day tourist match against Ireland in 2023, which saw Das get his break in the First XI, due to a couple of injuries. However, he took the opportunity with both hands, scoring 132 off just 118 in his debut First-Class innings, including 21 fours.

This exposure saw him start the following game, a T20 against Gloucestershire. The right-hander would play a pivotal knock, coming in at no.3, he top-scored with 69 off 33 balls and would cement his place in the 11-man-side for the rest of the competition.
