Will Buttleman is a wicketkeeper, who has worked his way up from the Academy into the First Team squad. An ever-present in the Second XI since 2017, Buttleman was thrust into First Team action at the beginning of the 2019 campaign: due to injuries to both Adam Wheater and Michael Pepper.
Making his full debut in a first-class game against Yorkshire in June 2019, first team cricket was limited until 2021. This saw Buttleman get his chance in the shorter formats of the Royal London Cup and Vitality T20 Blast. Batting at the top of the order, he shone in a successful chase at the Kia Oval, where he scored an unbeaten 56 (51).
